10nt Luxe Escape: Indulge Island Style With a 5-Star Touch 🐚

This TUI escape is a rather good example of why we love discovering hotels that do a little more than expected. 10 nights at the 5-star Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos, departing from Bristol on 2 May (other departures available), with a Blue Flag beach on the doorstep and a very impressive 4.8/5 TripAdvisor rating from more than 6,500 reviews.

What makes Olympic Lagoon stand out is that it feels like a resort that goes the extra mile. The newly renovated property looks every bit the part, but it’s the little details that really make the difference. From the choice of places to eat and drink to the different spaces around the resort, there’s a sense that things have been thought through rather than simply added because they’re expected at a 5-star hotel. Add in the pools, swim-up bar, spa and evening entertainment, and it’s easy to see why the resort has built such a strong reputation.

For May, the weather is another reason we like these dates, with warm days and plenty of opportunity to make the most of the beachfront setting and pools. And when you do fancy getting out, central Paphos and the harbour are around 2km away, making it easy to mix some exploring into the trip.

With checked luggage, seat selection and transfers included, there’s less to organise before you go too. Put that alongside the 5-star setting, excellent reputation and a resort that clearly takes the details seriously, and we think this is a pretty special way to spend 10 nights in Cyprus.
