4nt Budapest Escape: Grand Buildings, Thermal Baths & Late Nights 🍷

This Loveholidays city break caught our eye for the hotel alone. Four nights in Budapest, departing London Stansted on 31 October (other dates & routes available - price may vary), with a stay at the 5-star Mystery Hotel a beautifully styled boutique property in a great location and one that feels like a little more thought has gone into it to make it special.

What we like about the Mystery Hotel is that it gives you somewhere you’ll actually want to spend time, rather than just somewhere to sleep between sightseeing. The Sky Garden looks like a lovely spot for a drink as the sun sets over Budapest, while the Secret Garden Spa gives you an easy excuse to slow things down for an hour or two. The restaurant is highly rated too, so you can keep things simple one evening and stay in without feeling like you've missed out.

It’s the kind of hotel that gets the balance right: stylish enough to feel like a treat, but still practical for a city break. With a 4.8/5 TripAdvisor rating, it’s clear we're not the only ones who think they've got something right here.

A couple of things worth knowing: airport transfers aren't included, but taxis are readily available and the journey to the hotel takes around 30 minutes. Budapest will be on the cooler side at the end of October, with average highs around 8°C, so expect crisp autumn days rather than winter sun. Perfect weather for exploring the city, then retreating somewhere cosy for the evening.

With the boutique hotel, excellent reviews and those extra touches that make a short city break feel a little more special, we think this is a particularly lovely way to spend four nights in Budapest.
