What we like about ALDAU is that it goes a little beyond the usual resort formula. A huge beachfront setting, a sprawling pool area with a lazy river and waterfalls, plenty of places to eat and drink and a really polished feel throughout give you plenty to enjoy without the place feeling overdone. There’s also a proper spa, watersports and some great spots to sit back with a drink and take in the Red Sea. The hotel has built a strong reputation too, with a 4.8/5 TripAdvisor rating from more than 10,000 reviews.

April is a particularly good time to head to Hurghada, with warm weather making it easy to spend your days between the beach, pool and exploring a little further afield. The hotel is also around 20 minutes from the airport, so you can be settled in and enjoying yourself not long after landing.

With the beachfront setting, excellent reputation and all the important bits already taken care of, we think this is a pretty compelling way to enjoy a week of Egyptian sunshine with a little extra polish.
